Book Exchange
Welcome to the Book Exchange stall at Lexis 4.0! Have old books gathering dust on your shelf? Bring them here and trade them for someone else’s treasured reads. It’s the perfect way to refresh your collection while sharing stories with fellow literature lovers. Whether you’re looking for classics, contemporary novels, or something entirely unexpected, the Book Exchange is your chance to discover new favorites while giving your own books a new home.
Wordle
A five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that the letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. Multiple instances of the same letter in a guess, such as the “o”s in “robot”, will be colored green or yellow only if the letter also appears multiple times in the answer; otherwise, excess repeating letters will be colored gray. The less number of tries you get the word in, the better it is.
Entry Fees:
Rs. 15 for 3 tries
Rules:
The leaderboard is based on time. But there’s a twist, every wrong guess gets 30 seconds added to the time. The top of the leaderboard at the end of every hour gets a mug.
Hints are available: If you want to know a letter, you can do so for a cost of 30 seconds on the clock. If you want to know the position of a letter you have already got, that would cost you 15 seconds.
Spin The Wheel
A crowd favourite of Lexis 3.0, Spin the Wheel is back! In a hangman-inspired game, STW players will have to guess a phrase for a given topic within a fixed amount of time—too many wrong guesses, and game over.
Rules:
- Players will first spin the wheel to land on a category to guess. The categories are authors and poets, books and poems, idioms and phrases. (others can also be added)
- Based on the category, words will appear on the screen, but the letters will not be visible to the participant.
- Participants will have 20 seconds to guess all the letters of the phrase/idiom, author’s/poet’s name or poem/book title with a maximum of 10 wrong guesses.
- If participants guess correctly, they will get the chance to spin the wheel to land on a prize.
- Players might land on a spoke with no prizes, so all the best and may the odds be in your favour!
- If players want to play again, they will have to pay an additional 10 rupees each time. First round free, second round 10 rupees, 3rd round 20 rupees and so on.
